The Society has a programme of talks given by well known speakers on a variety of wide ranging historical topics, usually of northern origin and interest. Summer visits are also arranged to historical sites within the region.
Everybody is welcome to join us on the first Friday of the month at 7pm at
Room 3, Lanchester Community Centre, Newbiggin Lane, Lanchester. DH7 0JQ. Please check because Public holidays can make us move the date.
Check the Lanchester Village Voice for details of meetings.
Meetings cost £3 for members and £5 for visitors. They usually last between 60 and 90 minutes depending on how many questions are asked and if the speaker brings items to embellish the talk.
